A lovely holiday park. This was our third visit and as always we were greeted by the very friendly and helpful reception staff who shortly afterwards phoned to make sure everything was okay. We were staying in a 3 bedroom Deluxe caravan which was well equipped, clean and comfortable, and a short walk to the lovely beach. The new Marina Lounge was lovely although a little noisy early in the evening during the childrens entertainment which seemed to be fun for the youngsters. The indoor pool was lovely and the on site shop was good. On our return my husband realised that he had lost his watch but when I phoned a couple of days later the reception staff said that it had been found in the caravan and are returning it to us. On our previous visits we still had our dog and there are plenty of dog bins about, also the Garden cafe has a covered gated area outside with tables and chairs for dog owners with bowls of water and a jar of dog biscuits. I would recommend Hopton to anyone!
We booked 2 caravans for grandparents, parents and grandson for a week in Sept. We had some concerns due to CV19, but all was fine. The check in was so easy, maybe the should continue the process post covid. Our vans in the Greenfields area were very new and spotlessly clean. Other than swimming for the grandson, we didn't use any of the other facilities, we are sure they would be fine, but, best to be cautious at the moment. We self catered and as the weather was wonderful, kept to outdoor activities - and there are many in the area. Access to the small sandy beaches below the park is very good. We also found the walk via the beach into Gorleston relatively each and worthwhile in the glorious weather we had. All in all a great break and would go back again
This year has been a record year for Holidays in the UK Next year is expected to be even better.
